About the StandardsPortal
StandardsPortal is an ANSI online resource designed to facilitate trade and exports through increased transparency and engagement in standards, regulations and conformity assessment activities.
The primary aim of the StandardsPortal is to answer some of the key questions asked by exporters:
- What technical requirements must my product meet to enter and compete in the U.S. market?
- How can I get an “early warning” about changes to these requirements?
- How can I ensure that my company’s perspectives are heard and considered in the development of the standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment policies that could affect my business?
Currently, StandardsPortal includes information on the following economies. Pages are color coded by economy.
StandardsPortal [www.StandardsPortal.org] is owned and maintained by ANSI. Mirror versions of the website exist which are designed and maintained by ANSI’s partners around the world.
Each of these resources is catered to the needs and interests of each country’s stakeholders.
Support for StandardsPortal has been provided by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology [NIST], a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency
[USTDA].
