ANSI International Activities

ANSI Regional/Bilateral Activities

The Regional/Bilateral area of ANSI's International Policy activities is responsible for maintaining interaction with all fora whose international activities have an impact on U.S. standards and conformity assessment. This involvement includes tracking programs of work, communicating activities to and from the ANSI governance, developing and contributing U.S. positions, attending and participating in meetings, promoting the U.S. Standards Strategy, and representing the United States standards and conformance communities.
Three ANSI Regional Standing Committees (RSCs) report to the ANSI International Policy Committee (IPC) and allow ANSI members to discuss issues of regional importance and advise the IPC on policy matters.

Bilaterally, ANSI maintains direct relationships with national standards bodies and other organizations around the globe, providing a consistent and open line of communication for U.S. companies with specific issues in their target markets.

Regionally, ANSI's program areas include overarching business involvement, policy development, regulatory cooperation, and general issues pertaining to standards, quality, accreditation, or metrology.
