ANSI International Development and Projects

In order to advance ANSI’s mission as the voice of the U.S. standards and conformance systems, the Institute is committed to advancing public-private partnerships that advance health, safety and economic prosperity. ANSI supports international development initiatives as a key component of this goal, and frequently leads or participates in initiatives around the world to advance U.S. interests and policy.

Specific areas of focus in international development include:

• Facilitating Exports and Economic Development
• Increasing Manufacturing and Product Quality
• Developing a Qualified Workforce
• Supporting WTO Accession and Implementation (including TBT Agreement)
• Supporting Good Regulatory Practice
• Improving Basic Infrastructure (bridges, roadways, building codes, etc.)
• Advancing Democratization
• Strengthening Supply Chain and Consumer Safety
• Advancing Energy Conservation and Protection of the Environment
• Supporting Participation in International Standards Development
