Between 2009-2012, ANSI carried out a multi-faceted Standards and Conformance Cooperation Program (SCCP) in India in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with sponsorship from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The main components of the program included:
New features include: Expanded information on the standards and conformance systems in India, a guide to U.S. Best Practices for standards and conformance, and a directory of conformity assessment bodies in the U.S.
A series of workshops sponsored and co-organized by U.S. private-sector organizations. These events included targeted technical exchanges between small groups of industry stakeholders and opportunities to present results of discussion to high-level officials within regulatory and other government agencies.
