Organizational Overview
X12 is a corporation registered in Virginia. X12 is led by diverse leadership groups, including a Board of Directors and Steering Committee.
The Board is responsible for X12's organizational and business affairs. The Steering Committee oversees operational activities related to the development and publication of Electronic Data Interchange standards and related work products.
Scope of Standards Developing Activity
X12 members meet regularly to develop and maintain Electronic Data Interchange standards that streamline and facilitate consistent electronic interchange of business transactions, such as order placement and processing, shipping and receiving information, invoicing,
payment and cash application data. With more than 320 transaction standards available for use, X12 standards can be used to conduct nearly every facet of business-to-business operations.
