Organizational Overview

ICC-ES is the United States’ leader in evaluation of building products for compliance with code. A nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, ICC-ES provides technical evaluations of building products, components, methods, designs and materials. The evaluation process culminates in the issuance of evaluation reports on code compliance, which are available free of charge to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and other parties with an interest in building design and construction. ICC-ES evaluation reports are intended to verify that new, innovative products,designs and systems meet code requirements.

Scope of Conformity Assessment Activity

ICC-ES is accredited by ANSI for compliance with all of the requirements of ISO Guide 65 (General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems). ICC-ES maintains a quality sysem based on ISO 9001:2000.

ICC ES is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
