Organizational Overview
As stewards of the ANSI-approved Contract Management Standard™ (CMS™), NCMA has evolved into the preeminent partner and voice for higher standards, exemplary performance, and broader mission impact throughout the acquisition life cycle. Scope of Standards Developing Activity
NCMA is the foremost standards development organization for contract management in the United States and is accredited standards developer by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for standards of contract management practices.
NCMA’s standards are developed by the NCMA Standards Consensus Body (SCB). The SCB operates as a consensus body with membership drawn from a variety of backgrounds—to include government and commercial buyers and sellers, academicians, regulatory authorities, and consultants. Collectively, these interdisciplinary groups develop standards and other subject matter documents intended to advance contract management practices.
Through its subject matter expertise, NCMA plays a significant role in the development of contract management standards.
