U.S.–Indo-Pacific Standards & Technology Cooperation Program (STCP)

The U.S.-Indo Pacific Standards & Technology Cooperation Program (STCP) will convene government officials and industry representatives from the U.S. and Indo-Pacific region to share important commercial and industrial standards information and practices. Doing so enables decision-makers to develop and implement standards, testing protocols, and regulatory procedures that align with international best practices.

Sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency(USTDA) , ANSI will coordinate 12 technical workshops in the Indo-Pacific region during the program’s 3-year duration. ANSI will coordinate with the USTDA, U.S. industry, and host country entities to prioritize and develop workshop topics. Topics include but are not limited to green technologies, transportation, smart cities, medical devices, information and communication technology (ICT), and energy.

The program provides a forum for the U.S. public and private sectors and Indo-Pacific countries to:

Cooperate on issues related to standards development, technical regulations, and conformity assessment policies and procedures.
Facilitate U.S.-Indo-Pacific dialogue on standards, conformity assessment, and international best practices.
Exchange up-to-date information on the latest issues related to standards and regulatory developments in sectors such as transportation, energy, telecommunications, healthcare, and agriculture.
